This is an information page about used lozer shelving, Lozier shelving and the company, Lozier.  I am not affiliated with them in any way; I'm just a fan.

Lozier's website is a great resource for installation instructions, and matching colors, among other things.
"Lozier is an industry leader providing store fixtures to chain retailers throughout the world.  Lozier began manufacturing store fixtures in 1956 and originated the basics of today’s shelving systems with innovations such as 1” shelf spacing, integrated multi-angle brackets, and no-bolt installation. "
Lozier (website)

Lozier is a store fixture manufacturer based in Omaha, NE.

They were founded in 1956.  I wouldn't be too suprised to see parts floating around from that time.  Not sure when they started their current recipe.

People sometimes confuse Lozier as the style of shelving, since it is so commonly used, though other manufacturers in the USA produce similar products.
Pretty much every add-on and accessory has been made available for Lozier, either made by Lozier or by specialty companies whose designs fit Lozier: fencing; sign holders; baskets; front inserts for advertising pricing and inventory/SKU's; peg and slatwall accesories; multi-finction racking; I'll stop now, because there are just too many different accesories.  Many of these can be found used, or can are reasonably priced new.

You will often buy from a Lozier distributor, not the corporation, 'Lozier'.

"Stocking" distributors will have some Lozier in 'stock'.  They will feed the other distributors.
Lozier cleanly defines key characteristics of gondola shelving; strength, durability, versatility, shipability.

It can be broken down into pieces and re-assembled, over and over again...and it is.

Lozier parts are backward compatible, for the most part.
There are MANY retail stores, right now, outfitted with Lozier shelving containing parts from 3 or 4 different decades.

There are used Lozier dealers nationwide, and you can always find spare parts, shelves, decks, ect.  You can outfit your store with Lozier, and not have to worry three years later when you remodel and need a couple end caps and 20 extra shelves.  There will be a dealer who has them, used and in stock.

Used Lozier will be available, and Lozier will be in business for the foreseeable future..  You will always be able to add to or accesorize.  You can always call a Lozier dealer for parts.
Lozier, also, will manufacture shelving that does NOT match/fit their standard shelving sytems.
For example, Lozier manufactured some shelving specific for Target stores.

While Lozier is the manufacturer, none of these parts (from Target stores) will match standard Lozier.

You will often see some misleading ads, "used Lozier shelving".   While often enough this is true, you will want to be aware of two common happenstances:
   1) Sometimes it's not really the brand name, "Lozier", it just looks very similar and it's hard to identify.  Also, people don't really know what the shelving is called, so they call all shelving that looks like this 'Lozier.
   2) Also, it may be like the 'target Lozier' I mentioned previously.  It might be manufactured by Lozier, but it is not their standard product.  It will be a well made product, but it lose all of the accessiblity; Lozier parts wont fit, different accessories will be needed.  It will be much harder to match up.
